Improving the aquarium hobby by sharing knowledge and promoting conservation since 1967.
The Durham Region Aquarium Society (DRAS) was established in September of 1966 to assist in the advancement and improvement of the aquarium hobbyist. We held our first annual show and created a monthly bulletin in 1967. Today we continue that tradition with monthly events, an annual mega-auction and dinner, as well as our Tank Talk digital publication. DRAS also works with local, national, and international aquatic organizations toward the shared goal of conservation.
For our last meeting before the summer break, this special session aims to encourage all members and guests to participate, bring questions, & share both information and aquarium items! Swap, trade, sell or give away! Your choice! Plus fish-in-a-box game!
Note: The monthly mini-auction will be held at 8 PM. Don’t forget that there is a10 item (bag) limit for all general meeting auctions; donations to DRAS will be accepted. Any late auction items may be sold or shared in the swap, but remember any un-swapped items must be taken back home!
